Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one titles have been earned on hard surfaces
A comeback Medvedev won his initial title for over two years with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult year, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and undergoing a meltdown at the New York tournament.
The player's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in specific - resulted in him dropping out of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with long-time mentor Cervara.
Now collaborating with Johansson and his other coach, he has gradually improved in the past month - culminating in a tightly fought 7-5 4-6 6-3 triumph over opponent Corentin Moutet.
This represents Medvedev's initial title since the 2023 Rome Masters and initial on a hardcourt since that period of the previous year.
The win also means he has secured 21 victories at twenty-one different competitions.
"For the first time I'm at a event with my children together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Medvedev.
"This title is in tribute of my second daughter my daughter, because the maiden victory I got when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The athlete, the 2021 US Open champion, had failed in his previous six title deciders, comprising in Halle earlier this year.
The player's defensive play style and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led commentators to question if his skill to compete at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and play aggressively, reinforced by an enhanced serving game.
The champion came back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning four of the final five points to go ahead.
Both players traded service breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, attempting for his initial tour title, took control to create a final set.
Moutet rescued 4 early opportunities in a close final set before Medvedev won the break to that score to close out the victory.
Suitably, he clinched the title with a point at the front of the court, with his opponent incapable to handle a volley after over two and a half hours.
